We made room for the Boston-Thurmond Residents (in zip code 27105) in Forsyth County, NC, to share birth stories, to heal, to break barriers, and to feel empowered in order to transform our community one step at a time with an ultimate goal to improve birth outcomes for Black and Brown moms and babies.

Join Other Organizations That Are Working Alongside Moms
Novant Health, Atrium Health, and the Forsyth County Department of Public Health worked on improvement projects in their organizations with moms to help address barriers and hardships moms identified during story sharing. Check out what they created below and scan their accompanying QR codes to learn more.
Moms in partnership with Novant Health explored a 4th Trimester Support Group to provide a supportive space for new mothers to connect, share experiences, and access valuable resources to ease the transition into motherhood.
Moms and Atrium Health together created a Guide to a Successful Pregnancy for all moms living in Forsyth County to give them the empowerment, love, and knowledge to make the best decisions for themselves and their pregnancy. Scan the QR code below to download and save a fillable copy of the guide.
Moms along with Forsyth County Department of Public Health recognized the need for enhanced access to postpartum resources in the community and created the Triad Area Postpartum Resource List. This comprehensive list is being distributed across Forsyth County in clinics, OB/GYN offices, and at community events.
